In the first lab of the course you will 1) write a general-purpose cache simulator, and then 2) optimize a small matrix transpose kernel to minimize the number of misses on a simulated cache. To get started, download and read the instructions. Enjoy.

Note: Some of you may use a Linux machine other than perko406.cdm.depaul.edu machine. That is fine, as long as you make sure that your final product runs correctly on perko406.cdm.depaul.edu.
